This web site hopes to provide as much information as possible to people seeking stammering therapy, and details about The Starfish Project. However,we are ever mindful and respect, that not everyone who stammers wishes to seek help or try therapy. We also respect that there are many forms of stammering therapy and that choice is individual.
Important Statement
It has come to our notice that our work at The Starfish Project has been confused with that of other organisations which market stammering treatment courses. We would like it known that there is no connection between The Starfish Project and these other organisations and programmes. We strongly believe that it is wrong to take financial or psychological advantage of the misfortune of other people, or to give false hope or promise of a non-existent cure from stammering.
Whilst other these organisations continue to raise their charges we will strive to maintain a cost- covering basis and will keep our course fee at £250, the same fee as it was when we started ten years ago, for as long as we can. This is to ensure that we make our course available to as many people who stammer as possible, whilst maintaining small courses with the maximum INDIVIDUAL attention. We intend to always offer FREE Lifetime support and no fee refresher courses. We will not impose a 'pay to stay' policy half way through a course. The fee for a Starfish course will always be payable at the end of the course. It is our dream that one day that Starfish therapy will be available free to anyone that seeks it.
